QNT is the native token of Quant Network. The Overledger API, which enables communication between various blockchains through a single interface, is the centerpiece product of the Quant Network. Through a single gateway, Overledger seeks to reduce the complexity of blockchains. It presently supports a number of permissioned chains in addition to public blockchains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple. The QNT token is an Ethereum network-compatible ERC-20 token. It is the Quant Network Protocol's utility currency and may be used to pay for network resources, staking/locking costs, and licensing fees. Through the Overledger API, QNT is utilized to sign and validate transactions across chains. No transaction may move via Overledger without being validated with QNT tokens, which are owned by every client, developer, and application.
